paulo mendes da rocha wins pritzker prize

brazilian architect paulo mendes da rocha has won the 2006 pritzker architecture prize. the prize (worth $ 100,000) is considered one of the most important architecture prizes, and is also known as the nobel prize in architecture. mendes da rocha has a sober style and uses basic materials. the brazilian museum of sculpture in sao paulo is one of his most famous projects. this is the paulistano athetic club in sao paulo:
