r.i.p. gerard reve

yesterday, the dutch rebel writer gerard reve died in zulte (belgium) at the age of 82. the last few years reve was suffering from alzheimer's disease. reve published his most important work de avonden (the evenings) in 1947. his unconventional behaviour made him popular, and he was one of the first public homosexuals in the netherlands.
